Short answer is YES. Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest nondrug, noninvasive forms of health care available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal complaints.

Let’s start with why would someone need to be adjusted by a chiropractor?

Most of the patients that we see are coming in for neck pain, back pain, headaches, sciatica, knee pain, and shoulder pain are the ones we see the most often. The difference between a doctor adjusting you and putting the bones back into alignment versus a friend is that we know how to put the bones back in place correctly. We know which bones are pinching the nerves causing this pain and tightness. When having a friend adjust you or even self adjusting, you can continue to push bones out of alignment when you don’t know what you are doing. Just because a bone makes a pop does not mean it goes in or out of place.
